We have just released the latest update of the OMA Browser. It is the 23th release covering 2167 genomes.
In this release we added
- 7 new plant species (Liverwort, Quinoa, Coyote tobacco, Cucumber, Narrow-leaved blue lupine, Jute, and New World cotton),
- 13 new animals:
- 5 rodents: Damaraland mole rat, Long-tailed chinchilla, Degu, Lesser Egyptian jerboa and the Northern Israeli blind subterranean mole rat
- Nothobranchius furzeri (Turquoise killifish) species,
- Pan paniscus (Pygmy chimpanzee) species
- Schmidtea mediterranea (Freshwater planarian flatworm) species
- Thelazia callipaeda (Oriental eyeworm) species
- Meloidogyne hapla species
- Ooceraea biroi (Ant) species
- Diaphorina citri (Asian citrus psyllid)
- Hydra vulgaris (Hydra) species
- 17 new fungi species,
- 7 new Protists:
- 4 new Plasmodium species
- Bodo saltans species
- Trichomonas vaginalis species
- Phytophthora ramorum (Sudden oak death agent) species
- 4 new archaea and
- 24 new bacteria species.
Further, we updated the Domesticated barley, Arabidopsis thaliana, Mouse, Chimapanzee and Escherichia coli (strain K12) species in this release.
